When I first spoke with Gregg and Tiesha, I asked them about a location that they thought would be perfect for their engagement session.
They both said Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land, TX. I said perfect. Oyster Creek Park is where we’ll do your engagement session.
Unfortunately, it was a hot summer day, the sun was blazing and everything outside felt like it was set on fire, including Gregg, Tiesha & myself.
Nevertheless, we walked through the park, took a few pictures in the sun and ran back to the shade, and drank some water.

1st Quarter: Gregg and Tiesha walked over the bridge!
By the time we walked across the bridge and found some shade in the park, I was scoping out Oyster Creek for a solution to the sun beaming down on us.
I needed to come up with a different game plan for their engagement session for a couple of reasons:
- To help keep Gregg & Tiesha stay cool as possible so they could have fun during their engagement session.
- We needed to bring the sunlight down a notch or two.
So, I changed the game plan from spontaneous to hide-n-seek from the sun with a blend of spontaneous in the middle. Here’s how we did it.

2nd Quarter: We used the trees for a creative design!
I kicked it off by having Gregg & Tiesha take a few pictures with stature in their New England Patriots outfits, then we ran to the sidelines under the trees for shade.
While cooling off under the trees, I took a few pictures of Gregg resting on the bench with his soon-to-be wife.
The pictures they took in their New England Patriots outfits were nothing short of beautiful. But now it was half-time.

Half Time: Change outfits and get into something a little cooler!
Despite the fact that we took pictures at the speed of light during the first half because we were trying to hide from the sun, I wanted the second half to be different.
So, while Gregg & Tiesha were in the locker room cooling down and watching the half-time show.
I elected to get some water and revamp my game plan for the second half.

3rd Quarter: First play of the game!
I had Gregg & Tiesha go long for a deep pass down the middle of the field which ended with a touchdown, putting the New England Patriots ahead at the start of the 3rd quarter with another set of lovely pictures in orange & white.
The defense played very strong in the 3rd quarter. They shut down the opponent, ending the 3rd quarter 7-0, giving Gregg and Tiesha the lead over the beaming sunlight.

4th Quarter: The last quarter was no different!
The couple was determined to end the game strong, and they did just that.
Gregg and Tiesha came out strong at the beginning of the 4th quarter with another touchdown, putting them ahead 14-0, and putting some victory insurance on the game.
We ended the 4th quarter of the engagement session with a few victory pictures under the trees.
Unfortunately for the Sunlight, Gregg and Tiesha weren’t finished.
We hit the field one last time, running down the sideline to the fountain on our way out of the park for the game-winning touchdown, which put them out of reach for the Sunlight.

Final Score: Gregg & Tiesha, 21-0!
As you can see, the rest is history. Gregg & Tieha’s engagement session was hot, but we had fun, and nobody got sunburned, thanks to the trees.
