When I first spoke with Gregg & Tiesha, I asked them about a location which they thought would be perfect for their engagement session. They both said Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land, TX. My response was, perfect. Oyster Creek Park is where we’ll do your engagement pictures.

It was a hot summer day at Oyster Creek Park, the sun was blazing and everything it touched including Gregg, Tiesha & myself felt like it was set on fire. Nevertheless,

We walked over the bridge!

By the time we walked across the bridge and found some shade in the park, I was scoping out Oyster Creek for a solution to the sun beaming down on us.

I needed to come up with a different game plan for their engagement session.

  1. To help keep Gregg & Tiesha as cool as possible so they could enjoy their photo session.
  2. We needed to bring the sunlight down a notch or two.

So, I decided to play a game of hide-n-seek from the sun. Here’s how we did it.

First, I had Gregg & Tiesha took a few pictures with a stature in their New England Patriots outfits and we ran for the shade again.

Next, we used the trees for a creative design!

While cooling off under the trees, I took a few pictures of Gregg resting on the bench with his soon to be wife.

The pictures that Gregg & Tiesha took in their New England Patriots outfits were beautiful. But now it was half-time.

It was time to change outfits and get in to something a little cooler.

Despite the fact that we took pictures at the speed of light during the first half because we were trying to hide from the sun, I wanted the second half to be different.

So, while Gregg & Tiesha were in the locker room cooling down and watching the half-time show.

I decided to get some water and revamp my game plan for the second half.

After the half-time show was over.

The first play of the game I had Gregg & Tiesha came out with a deep pass down the middle of the field for a touchdown, which put New England Patriots ahead in the 3rd quarter with another set of lovely pictures in orange & white.

The defense played strong in the 3rd quarter, holding the opponent to zero points by the end of the 3rd quarter.

And the last quarter was no different!

Gregg & Tiesha were determined to win the game, and they did just that.

By coming out strong at the beginning of the 4th quarter with another touchdown, they were able to put some victory insurance on the game.

We ended the 4th quarter of the session with a few victory pictures under the trees.

Then we hit the field one last time for the game-winning play running down the sideline to the fountain on our way out the park.

As you can see, the rest is history.

Gregg & Tieha’s engagement session was hot, but we had fun.

An nobody got sunburned, thanks to the trees.
